Following the installation of the first large piece of illuminated canopy, a new piece is now being constructed for TRON Lightcycle / Run at Magic Kingdom.

They are building the next piece of canopy on the ground where the previous piece was.

Right now, there’s a construction vehicle partially blocking the view of construction on the canopy.

Workers were visible on the left side of the canopy. Like the last large piece, this will be lifted into place with a crane.

Yellow straps seem to be holding the canopy secure to the ground while construction continues.

Above the track, you can see how much of the canopy has been installed so far.

The reddish-brown supports are only for construction purposes and won’t be part of the final coaster.

There is a new vertical white support just barely visible next to the track.

Work is moving quickly and we can’t wait to see the ride finally come together.

TRON Lightcycle / Run is set to be completed in 2021, barring any further delays. The Magic Kingdom guidemap does declare the coaster is “Now Programming” which indicates that Disney is planning on opening it sooner rather than later.
