PHOTOS: New Fantasyland Expansion Area Opens to Guests in Tokyo Disneyland

Today’s been an exciting day at Tokyo Disneyland as the new E-Ticket attraction, “The Enchanted Tale of Beauty and the Beast” soft opened to guests, and the New Fantasyland expansion was added to the Tokyo Disney Resort App.

With the attraction soft opening, the entire New Fantasyland expansion area was open to guests to walk around and photograph, and many images have made their way onto social media. Let’s check out what the new expansion looks like thanks to Twitter user @Shunsuke_K_D.

In the above images we see the Cast Member uniforms for the new area, including a fancy regal blue costume for the “Enchanted Tales with Beauty and the Beast.”

Minnie’s Style Studio looks to be a great addition to Toontown, with the builds facede being incredibly cartoony. This location will serve as a character greeting area with Minnie Mouse herself!

Above we get to see the highly anticipated The Big Pop, a popcorn cart that will sell unique flavors of popcorn along with popcorn buckets.

This expansion wouldn’t be complete without photos of Baymax, who is proudly standing outside his attraction, The Happy Ride with Baymax, which is located in Tomorrowland.

Heading into Fantasyland proper, we can see the exterior of the Fantasyland Forest Theatre, along with signage for some of our favorite characters such as Piglet, the Big Bad Wolf, King John, and Marie from The Aristocats.

The theatre will also feature the new Mickey’s Magical Music World show, that is set to open at an undetermined later date.

Following the Fantasyland Forest Theatre, we enter into Belle’s Village.

All of the details in this area are incredible, with small touches such as antlers above La Taverne De Gaston to bring the themeing to life.

Of course, no Beauty and the Beast themed area would be complete without a Gaston fountain in the center.

It’s exciting to see the difference facades and shops that are going to be featured in Belle’s Village, it’s almost like we’re in the movie!

Maurice’s Cottage is a nice addition to this expansion area.

Of course, guests will be flocking to this area, which is the exterior of the Enchanted Tale of Beauty and the Beast, the new E-Ticket attraction, an 8-minute-long trackless ride that will feature the complete story of Beauty and the Beast.

In this collage of photos, we get to see the attraction sign, as well as the description of the ride. The sign reads: “Experience the musical world of Beauty and the Beast, swirling and swaying in a magical dancing serving dish to classic songs that bring life and love to Beast’s enchanted castle.”

Beast’s Castle looks especially magical set against a gloomy sky and we cannot wait until we get to experience this attraction when the New Fantasyland expansion officially opens to guests on September 28th.
