Just days after dividers were added to Star Wars: Rise of the Resistance ride vehicles, another Disney’s Hollywood Studios attraction has added safety barriers. The Twilight Zone Tower of Terror ride vehicles have been fitted with plexiglass dividers. We noticed the addition during a visit today.
The first divider has been mounted to a frame installed in the aisle between rows one and two.
A second, frameless divider has been mounted to the ride vehicle’s back wall. This plexiglass divider is between rows five and six.
Unlike the dividers recently added to Rise of the Resistance, these new additions will not interfere with guests’ views during the attraction.
With crowds growing, Disney is likely looking for ways to increase both attraction capacity and safety. Recent guest surveys also indicate that Disney could be exploring additional virtual queues.
What do you think about the dividers being installed on this and other attractions? As always, you can use the comment feature to share your thoughts.
Thanks for the info, and I think this will be a bit of a hassle for the Accessible needed riders, depending on how mobile they are.
Just imagine how disgusting, nasty and germ covered that plexiglass will be after several people touch it. Gross!
