Bonjour from the 2020 Taste of EPCOT International Food & Wine Festival! One of the staples of the France Marketplace has returned with a new escargot dish!

The escargo replaces the goat cheese tart that was on the menu when the festival began on July 15th. It’s good to see this beloved festival item back in action, so let’s dive right in!

Feuilleté d’Escargots à la Crème d’Ail Et Persil: Escargot in Puff Pastry with Garlic and Parsley Cream Sauce – $5.75

For the price, you get a really nice-sized portion. You could share it if you wanted to.

This year’s iteration features a round puff pastry, as opposed to the more croissant-like versions of the past. Thankfully, it’s still as flaky and buttery as always.

The sauce has a very strong garlic flavor, which compliments the butter of the pastry.

There were full bits of escargot in our dish. Now if the idea of eating snails turns you off, we encourage you to reconsider. In the expert hands of the France Pavilion chefs, they taste purely like butter and garlic, making this extremely decadent.

This is a very good dish, and one we highly recommend. Compared to the mixed reviews we gave to the other items at this Marketplace, this is an easy standout.
