Having finally announced its new, modified holiday offerings for 2020, Walt Disney World has now rolled out its annual holiday commercial, encouraging families to “Discover Holiday Magic” this season.
The 30-second spot shows families in comfy, holiday-themed Spirit Jerseys, Santa Mickey hats, and of course, festive-colored face masks.

I’m actually offended that Disney feels that its appropriate to promote their holiday “magic” after cancelling Halloween and Christmas parties. No parades, no fireworks, limited hours and required reservations. I fully understand why Disney is required to enact its currant restrictions. But perhaps this year big advertising campaigns should also be curtailed. It seems Disney wants to have its cake and eat it to. Once again at the sacrifice of the loyal patrons. Show some restraint and tell it like it is.
I am appalled to see a Christmas/Holiday commercial in September. I’m also glad to see people wearing masks. I am unhappy with how this Pandemic is affecting our world.
