Hello from a hot but fun-filled day at Disney’s Hollywood Studios! We think any day filled with food is a good day, so today was a great day! Let’s get started!
A few days ago, we saw social distancing markers installed in the covered queue for Voyage of the Little Mermaid, but facing the wrong direction to be for that attraction. This morning as the early morning crowd filled ride queues and lines stretched passed their usual lengths, we saw what these markers were intended for. The line for Slinky Dog Dash stretched all the way from Toy Story Land, around the corner, to this point, where it entered the queue for Voyage of the Little Mermaid.
While we were here, we saw that the Mulan preview has left the Walt Disney Presents Theatre, and the “One Man’s Dream” short film has returned.
Inside the theatre, the costume exhibit remains, giving guests a look into the complexity of the pieces worn by Li Gong as Xianniang and Yifei Liu as Mulan.
The ABC Commissary reopened today with a completely reimagined menu, which we found quite delicious!
Our favorite was this Shrimp Curry Rice Bowl, which we will definitely be coming back to have again in the future! For pictures of the newly reopened restaurant and a full review of all the new menu items, see our article here.
In related food news, we found this food in an unexpected spot. This Extra Virgin Olive Oil by Skywalker Vineyards is available for sale in Tatooine Traders for $34.99.
We found some fun new merchandise around the park today. First we found a set of keychains for three of our favorite princesses. The first with the word “Magic” for Aurora, has a castle charm attached.
The second with the word “Dream” has a “glass slipper” charm attached for Cinderella.
The third and final keychain has the word “Wish” and a magic lamp charm for Jasmine. We found these at the 5&10 on Hollywood Boulevard, and each retails for $12.99.
We found this Toy Story long sleeve wide necked ladies shirt at the exit shop for Toy Story Mania. While not a Spirit Jersey, we like how the Walt Disney World logo is printed down the sleeve. This shirt retails for $39.99.
Speaking of Spirit Jerseys, we found a new one today! This burnt orange color is giving us all the Fall vibes. We found this at Rock Around The Shop for $69.99.
We found a whole line of retro sweatshirts featuring classic Mickey and friends, perfect for when the weather finally cools down. Take a look at the whole collection here!
Over the past few weeks, we’ve spotted a few new characters out on the Mickey & Friends Motorcade from time to time, but today we hit the jackpot. The whole gang was out today, including Chip and Dale, Goofy, Pluto, Donald and Daisy, Minnie, and Mickey! Check out our Instagram stories for a video of all the fun.
We had a great time at Disney’s Hollywood Studios today, even while waiting in line next to this handsome fellow. We hope you enjoyed coming along with us! Have a magical day!
Im surprised they Pulled out Mulan from Walt Disney Presents, Chapek mustve got the Ok from President for life Xi Jinping.
That new shrimp dish indeed looks delicious (I read the review) and I’m hoping I can maybe customize it with Mobile Order to omit the veggies. And that photo of Donald & Daisy – I love how Pluto is photo-bombing from off to the right.
