Greetings from a beautiful day at Walt Disney World! We were excited to take a tour around the World Showcase and see what new things we could find on this holiday weekend, so let’s get started!
When we arrived at the park, we were parked in the East “Imagine” lot, and directed through a new temperature check point. With holiday weekend crowds expected, expanded capacity for socially distanced parking was apparently needed.
Once inside, evidence of those crowds became immediately apparent. The line to enter The Land Pavilion zig-zagged in front of the building, crossed the walkway, and continued over the bridge and around the corner.
Likewise, the line for Journey Into Imagination With Figment zig-zagged in front of the attraction and looped the length of the building.
Though weekends tend to be more crowded, even non-holiday weekends, they do have their perks. While Pizza al Taglio has been open on the weekends before, we were excited to see it open in person.
A second wall of plexiglass has been added to the covered queue for the Friendship Boat at International Gateway. With this boat Temporarily Unavailable, and having seen this queue used for the temperature check line, we suspect this plexiglass is in preparation to utilize this queue more fully for temperature check line.
The “Beer Flight” at Block & Hans in American Adventure now has a sign detailing what beverages are included in the flight. As the flight also includes a cider, the flight is aptly renamed “Beer & Cider Flight” on this sign.
With it being a weekend, we found School Bread at the Kringla Bakeri Og Kafe, but without the character topper that we’ve seen on it recently. After going through a brief run of “Olaf” and “Bruni” character toppers, it seems the School Bread is now undecorated.
We found some fun new merchandise in the park today. The first, while not new, was certainly fun and caught our eye. These adorable rubber ducks were found in the United Kingdom Pavilion, and were originally for sale at Crown & Crest, but have been brought over to the Tea Caddy, since their home shop is still closed. They retail for $7.99.
We found this new onesie featuring Olaf from Frozen at The Fjording in the Norway Pavilion. It retails for $19.99.
We found this pink knit throw blanket which features textured Mickey head silhouettes. We found it at Mouse Gear for $59.99.
We found a Spirit Jersey featuring “The Child”, the most recent in a series of Spirit Jerseys featuring The Mandalorian characters and content. The front has an image of “Baby Yoda” himself.
The back has the phrase “The Bounty” across the shoulders in the traditional text placement for a Spirit Jersey.
