Alice of Alice in Wonderland and Anna from Frozen were both greeting guests in new socially-distanced locations at EPCOT today.
Alice – English Garden by The Tea Caddy (UK Pavilion)
The walkway Alice stood on was blocked off with a planter so guests couldn’t approach her. Instead, you could take pictures and talk to her from a distance on another garden path.
Alice was previously appearing in the gazebo further back in the UK Pavilion, where she would rotate appearances with Mary Poppins.
Cast Members didn’t say whether Alice’s move was temporary or permanent, so it’s possible this new location is just being tested as a greeting spot.
Anna – Royal Sommerhus (Norway Pavilion)
Meanwhile, in the Norway Pavilion, Anna was now greeting guests outside Royal Sommerhus.
Anna and Elsa usually have their own cavalcade that circles World Showcase.
Anna stayed several feet away from the Royal Sommerhaus gate where guests stood.
It’s not clear if Anna’s appearance here is also a test. We didn’t spot Elsa anywhere nearby, and she didn’t come out after Anna left.
We love these opportunities to talk to the characters from a safe distance. Keep an eye on WDWNT for more updates about character experiences at the Disney parks.
Great idea! Guests can grab a picture with them from a distance now. Do this with more characters!
