We have mostly been getting an aerial view of construction progress on the Star Wars: Galactic Starcruiser hotel being built near Disney’s Hollywood Studios, but today we got a closer look at the hotel from the ground.
Beyond the hotel, the spires of Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge are visible.
The hotel is tucked away from the main road to create a more immersive experience for guests. While we haven’t gotten a look inside the hotel, recent permits and concept art promise an incredible experience.
The hotel’s “story” will directly tie into the story of nearby Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge.
The blue visible on the right is the entrance to the hotel, with an overhang shaped like a coffin. There’s still a large pile of dirt nearby as construction continues.
The entrance leads into a large building that will house the “decks” of the Starcruiser. Beyond that will be the cabins.
In the middle, we see the arched “bus” stop where guests will board intergalactic transports to Batuu.
The cabins will have faux windows that look out into space, but some slim real windows are also visible.
There’s an emergency exit stairwell at the back end of the building.
While there’s still a long ways to go before we’ll be staying aboard this Galactic Starcruiser, it looks like the main structure of the building is mostly complete. Reservations are supposed to open up later this year. For a look at expected pricing for the 3-day, 2-night immersive experience, click here.
