Last month, a soft plastic divider was added to one car on Star Wars: Rise of the Resistance in Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge. As we’ve been checking on the ride, we’ve only seen the divider on that one vehicle, presumably for testing. Now a hard Plexiglass divider has been added, and we were lucky enough to be seated in the one car that has it.

The divider is between the two rows of seats inside each Prison Transport.

For now, even with the divider, our single rider reporter was the only person seated in the car. The Resistance fighters will typically guide you to sit at the front of any vehicle with a divider for the best views. (A party of more than 4 would take up both rows, of course.)

Like other Plexiglass dividers throughout the parks, there is a gap near the bottom.

If found effective, these dividers could allow two parties to be seated in one car, increasing the ride’s daily capacity.

The hard plastic does seem to be better than the soft plastic for seeing through, though still not ideal due to the glare.
