Sorry ’bout all the ruckus, folks. With refurbishments beginning soon on the Liberty Square Riverboat, Tom Sawyer Island, and across the way, Big Thunder Mountain Railroad, things are going to get rough around the back end of Magic Kingdom as they work “to purty up this here area.”
Signage went up recently across the area, and since then, we’ve seen water levels at the Rivers of America lower ever so slightly…
At first glance, the waterways looks as they normally do, however looking out towards the banks of the river, you’ll notice plenty of dry patches as draining continues ahead of the refurbishments.
Both the Liberty Square Riverboat and Tom Sawyer Island have closed at the Magic Kingdom for a scheduled three-month refurbishment. Back in August, the attraction underwent its annual refurbishment, though it’s uncertain what the scope of this new work will be.
The refurbishment for both attractions is currently scheduled to run at least until January 2nd. With work also planned for Big Thunder Mountain Railroad, we reckon this could bring some new surprises to the area in time for the park’s 50th anniversary.
How many magic bands and mickey ears did they retrieve?
Hopefully Aunty Pollys quick service is part of the refurb
Is this Gatorland?? Are you starting Gatorland News Today??? GLNT!!!
While Orlando’s attraction’s waters are lowering physically, Anaheim’s Rivers of America are the most emotionally drained.
