We’ve been keeping a close eye on the demolition of the Electric Umbrella at EPCOT as the quick-service restaurant is destroyed to make way for a new Starbucks and different restaurant. As of today, the beloved second floor of Electric Umbrella is completely gone.

When we last checked, the second floor seating area was still visible here, with tables still in tact.

Guests used to be able to people-watch from large windows on the second floor. Now you can more or less see straight through the building.

Most of the front walls to Electric Umbrella and Mouse Gear have been torn down.

While we could still see some umbrella decor on the back wall a few days ago, it is no longer visible.

The destruction of the Electric Umbrella is just one of many projects underway at EPCOT right now. Once construction is complete, the park will be divided into four neighborhoods. This center area will be World Celebration and may or may not be home to a new Festival Center.
