REVIEW: Cool Wash Returns to the Taste of EPCOT International Food & Wine Festival

The Taste of EPCOT International Food & Wine Festival has been running since the park reopened in mid-July. Unfortunately, not all the marketplaces planned for the festival opened on time. We previously noticed Cool Wash was preparing to reopen and now it has finally returned.

Cool Wash debuted their speciality slushies at last year’s EPCOT International Food & Wine Festival.

Last year, we were given menu tickets to check off what we wanted in our layered slush creation. This year, you just speak to the Cast Member at the slushie station after ordering. You can DIY a combination of slush and toppings. Toppings include candy pebbles, boba pearls, spice drops, and popping candy (Pop Rocks). The toppings and flavors aren’t easily listed anywhere, the Cast Member will just tell you the options.

We went with an “Annie”, which is Fanta Orange, Fanta Watermelon, and Fanta Blue Raspberry slush with boba pearls and spice drops. The “Tom” combo was Coca-Cola with Fanta Cherry and Fanta Banana, topped with candy pebbles and popping candy.

Here’s Tom’s layered slush creation. We weren’t as crazy about this one. in general, you kind of have to pull the straw to get each flavor as they’re layered and don’t really mix. The Pop Rocks and nerds are tart and and add a nice touch.

Annie’s mix was our favorite by far. If you go for the fruity slush, just stick with those. The spice drops were good, although a little hard to chew because they were cold. Do keep in mind that the straw isn’t big enough to get pearls and drops through, so we do suggest grabbing a spoon.
