Universal Studios Florida has extended their hours this upcoming Saturday and Sunday, with the park now opening at 8:00 AM and closing at 10:00 PM. Universal’s Islands of Adventure will open at 8:00 AM on both days and close at 10:00 PM on Sunday.
Previously, Universal Studios Florida has been closing at 9:00 PM on Saturdays and 8:00 PM on Sundays. It has been opening at 9:00 AM every day and closing at 5:00 PM on weekdays. Islands of Adventure has been closing at 6:00 PM most days.
So far, this change is only in effect for this upcoming weekend. This is likely in response to the parks reaching capacity twice this past weekend and the weekend before amidst their popular Halloween offerings. These hour extensions also signal the possibility of the return of nighttime spectaculars to the resort, with Universal Orlando’s Cinematic Celebration” scheduled for a nighttime showing on Saturday.

Good, if Disney wants to keep their guests, I suggest they do the same. I will be there this weekend and now my plans are going to change from Disney to Universal. It’s ridiculous that Disney has cut their hours so drastically, yet complain about not making enough money to keep Cast Members. It’s complete stupidity. Parks need to be open for guests to spend money. Letting guests only go to one park per day is stupidity as well. Why not? How does that make ANY sense????
