Today, California Governor Gavin Newsom announced a new 10pm to 5am curfew. The curfew will be in place for all California counties in the Purple Tier. Currently over 70% of California Counties are in the Purple Tier, including Orange County, where the Disneyland Resort is located.
The new curfew goes into effect at 10pm ET on Saturday. It is intended to reduce opportunities for Californians to be exposed to the coronavirus by banning all non-essential work as well as non-essential gatherings and movements between the hours of 10pm and 5am. According to the order, members of the same household are allowed to leave their homes after 10pm, however, they are not allowed to interact with anyone from outside their household. The order does not outline specifically how it will be enforced by local authorities.
As the Downtown Disney District as well as Buena Vista Street both currently close at 10pm, we may see operating hours reduce in order to give guests the opportunity to get home before curfew. Stay tuned to WDWNT.com for more information on the impact of the curfew on the Downtown Disney District and Buena Vista Street.

Oh no!
Ignore the petty dictators order, you know he’s going to.
No one is going to follow this.
No way in hell!!!!! Guaranteed he won’t obey his own order, he hasn’t yet! Screw off! We aren’t a communist country!!
About the dumbest thing I’ve ever heard!!!! You’re reducing the hours people can be out and about. Therefore causing greater numbers of people being out and about in the open hours. These “leaders” need to go!!!!
It sure is great living in the sunshine state of Florida. You know a republican run open state with all of our protocols all our theme parks are open with hardly no issues
Californians voted for him. You get what you asked for.
So over this petty tyrant and his cronies. Many of the county sheriffs have said they will not be enforcing this new proclamation, they have real crime to worry about.
