David Prowse, The Actor Who Played "Darth Vader" in Star Wars, Has Passed Away at 85

Actor David Prowse, the actor that played Darth Vader in the “Star Wars” Original Trilogy, has passed away at the age of 85 following a brief illness.

Thomas Bowington, who was Prowse’s agent, made the following statement. “It’s with great regret and heart-wrenching sadness for us and millions of fans around the world, to announce that our client Dave Prowse MBE has passed away at the age of 85”.

Mark Hamill paid tribute to his former costar on Twitter:
