Mickey & Minnie’s Runaway Railway Now Seating Guests on Both Sides of Plexiglass Dividers, Drastically Shortening Wait Times at Disney’s Hollywood Studios

A change to seating policy has led to significantly reduced wait times for Mickey & Minnie’s Runaway Railway at Disney’s Hollywood Studios.

Currently, Cast Members are double-loading guests, seating them on both side of the plexiglass dividers that have been installed on attraction vehicles. Plexiglass was also installed on vehicles for Star Wars: Rise of the Resistance just weeks ago.

Previously, individual parties were seated in their own vehicles, with smaller groups seated in front of the dividers. The move should increase capacity, which should help with wait times.

Our reporter noted that the line for the attraction was still winding outside of the entrance, but the wait time was much shorter than it had been previously. Currently, the wait time for Mickey & Minnie’s Runaway Railway is 55 minutes, barring stops for cleanings in between loadings, compared to the usual 90-minute waits of pre-plexiglass times.

  1. How very stupid! If you’re wearing the muzzle then why the need for this nonsense! It further makes it difficult for disabled to get in and out! That plexiglass is in the way of people grabbing the bar because it’s in between the back of the ride and the plexiglass! This is not ADA accessible!
