My Disney Experience Outage Currently Affecting Walt Disney World Wait Times, Disability Access Service, Reservations, and More

An outage currently affecting My Disney Experience is impacting the guest experience at Walt Disney World theme parks, with inaccurate wait times and more.

Currently, when you open the app, a notice pops up indicating that “Wait Times May Be Inaccurate”, stating that some of the attraction wait times may be inaccurate at this time. Guests utilizing the Disability Access Service to obtain return times are being given paper passes until the system is back up.

A prime example of the issues affecting the app are seen here, at the Tower of Terror. While the Stand-by entrance sign lists a wait time of just 40 minutes, on the app it states the wait is currently 95 minutes, or over double that time.

While we were able to place a Mobile Order for Woody’s Lunch Box this morning without any issues, guests attempting to secure bookings for Carthay Circle Lounge, which opened advance dining reservations just this afternoon, are stuck in a continuous virtual queue over on the Disneyland Resort website, hinting at a possible system-wide issue.

We’ll keep you updated on the status of the My Disney Experience app as further details arise.

  1. We tapped into Hollywood studios for our park pass reservation realized it did not go away so we were able after a couple hours to cancel it and book Epcot and park hop for the first time since February. Thanks Disney IT
