PHOTO REPORT: EPCOT 11/11/20 (Apple Fritter Donut Holes Redeemed, Yorkshire County Fish Shop Now Open Five Days a Week, New Passholder Holiday Merchandise, Innoventions West Demolition, and More)

Greetings, World Travelers, and hello from a very cloudy and breezy EPCOT! With Hurricane Eta unable to make up its mind regarding intensity and direction, we’ve had some blustery, wet weather here in central Florida, but that’s never stopped us from having a little fun at the parks. We found some things to show you today, so let’s get started!

What better way to start off the day than with some donuts? We took a chance and gave the Apple Fritter Donut Holes from the Donut Box a second try. When we tried them when the booth first opened, we felt they fell short of what they could have been. While they had a good spiced cake flavor, they didn’t have any apple flavor, and were completely lacking the characteristic apple chunks of an apple fritter. While they were good, they weren’t what we were hoping they would be.

We tried them again today and were delighted to find not only apple flavor present, but each donut hole was full of little apple bits! The apples were tart and wonderfully flavorful, and gave the donut hole a moistness inside that was previously lacking. This just might become our breakfast every morning at EPCOT from now on. What a wonderful transformation!

Fueled by a sugar high, we were ready to tackle the day. We had more great food finds ahead of us, much to our delight. Yorkshire County Fish Shop in the United Kingdom Pavilion, previously only open on weekends, has expanded its schedule, and will now be open five days a week, Wednesday through Sunday. The line for fish and chips was going strong all day today!

At the Germany Pavilion, in Karamell-Kuche, we found a returning favorite back in the cold case for the first time since the reopening of the parks—the Pretzel cookie. This cookie contains chocolate chips, toffee chips, marshmallow pieces, and pretzel bits, all drizzled in caramel. We must say, it’s delicious! This cookie is available for $4.59 and discounts do apply.

We found an early release of the Spiked Frozen Apple Pie Moonshine for the Taste of EPCOT International Festival of the Holidays at Block & Hans in American Adventure. This drink was so smooth it was dangerous! For our full review, see our article here.

While enjoying our beverage, we noticed that the large center screen had been removed from the American Gardens Theatre. While this may have been a precaution against damage due to winds from Hurricane Eta, it also may be in preparation for the upcoming Taste of EPCOT International Festival of the Holidays.

We also noticed that the Mill Stage in the Canada Pavilion had been opened up and speakers seem to have been set up. The benches that had previously lined the front of the stage facing away have been removed as well. Again, perhaps the canvas covers of the stage were rolled up to reduce damage from high winds, but we find it hard to believe that the sound equipment would have been left set up if that were the case. Only time will tell, and we’ll be sure to keep an eye on this spot!

We found some fun new merchandise today, including lots of new youth clothing. First we found several pieces featuring Stitch from Lilo & Stitch. This youth shirt bearing the phrase “Stranger Things Have Happened” was found at the Mission: SPACE Cargo Bay for $24.99.

Next we found this tie dye long sleeve youth shirt featuring Stitch also at Mission: SPACE Cargo Bay for $34.99.

To complete the set, we found these youth joggers featuring Stitch in space, also at Mission: SPACE Cargo Bay for $24.99.

Speaking of sets, we found a fun pair of clothing pieces inspired by the movie Up! and its characters. We found this women’s hoodie featuring the iconic house being carried by balloons and the phrase “Adventure Is Out There” and these leggings also featuring the house both at Mouse Gear for $34.99 each.

It was a good day for hoodies, because this patriotic beauty caught our eye in American Adventure. Featuring a silhouette of Mickey Mouse in the red, white and blue of the American flag, this zip hoodie retails for $54.99.

If you want a hoodie, but find yourself needing a little extra warmth, Disney has you covered. This light grey zip hoodie is minimalist in decorations but packs a punch for warmth because the body and hood are lined in white Sherpa material. We can’t wait for it to get cold enough here for us to wear this hoodie! We found it at Mouse Gear for $69.99.

Another piece of the new Mexico Pavilion merchandise line caught our eye today as we were perusing the glasses. This glass features the words “Mexico Epcot World Showcase” on one side and a Mickey silhouette of the Mexican flag colors on the other. This glass retails for $9.99.

New pins have been appearing every time we turn around it seems, and today was no exception. This meme style pin features characters from Cinderella and relies on the card to tell the joke of the meme. We found this pin set at Mouse Gear for $15.99.

We stopped in at the Passholder Pop-Up Shop in the Germany Pavilion and found two additions to the newest design featuring the phrase “The Happiest Holiday On Earth – Passholder 2020”. This phone case retails for $29.99 and is eligible for the Passholder discount.

We also found this matching magnet for $14.99.

Over at Innoventions West, we saw additional demolition in the form of ripped-out facade tiles.

We had a great day at EPCOT, and we hope you enjoyed coming along with us. Have a magical day!
