Welcome to another busy day here at the Universal Orlando Resort. We’ve been noticing a steady increase in guests leading up to the Thanksgiving holiday, but nothing too crazy. We decided to switch things up today and start our morning over at Islands of Adventure.
As soon as we arrived in Jurassic Park, we discovered that the walls were down around some of the Jurassic World VelociCoaster. The new merchandise kiosk was also open. Check out our post for a full video tour and more photos.
Crew were in a high reach working along the top of the VelociCoaster track, where the osprey like to nest.
Early in the day, we spotted the construction workers pulling down the walls along the bypass bridge that connects Jurassic Park and the Lost Continent.
There’s a lot of work happening all around Jurassic Park today.
There was a lot of crowding in Hogsmeade, but the rest of the park felt a lot more calm.
More Earl the Squirrel merchandise has arrived at the Holiday Tribute Store. This new shirt is available for $30. We hope to see even more Earl the Squirrel merch soon.
Schwab’s Pharmacy is no longer serving Ben and Jerry’s ice cream. They recently changed over to Haagen-Dazs and we were very disappointed.
Spindlewarps Wool Shop in Diagon Alley has added some last minute holiday decor. These bright red yarn balls are very eye catching when you walk into Diagon Alley.
New Shrek, Fiona, and Puss in Boots plush are now available for $15 each.
Many of the attractions have long lines, including the E.T. Adventure. The wait time was posted as 60 minutes when we walked by.
That’s all for this visit. We’re going to catch the Blues Brothers Christmas Rhythm and Blues Revue and get out of here. Stay tuned for more updates!
