California, here we come! Buena Vista Street in Disney California Adventure will soon be reopening shopping and dining for Downtown Disney District guests. We’ve spotted some Cast Members preparing the street and shops for reopening, plus the beloved Red Car Trolley has made a surprise appearance!
Today, eagle-eyed guests at Downtown Disney District were treated to the sight of the bright red trolley making its way down Buena Vista Street.
The Red Car Trolley will add some much-needed ambiance to Buena Vista Street when it reopens for shopping and dining this month as part of an extension of the Downtown Disney District. It was still under refurbishment when the parks closed back in March.
Just yesterday, we saw Cast Members preparing the area for guests.
There are of course several signs reminding guests about social distancing.
Hand sanitizer dispensers and hand-washing stations are visible inside.
Christmas merchandise was visible inside Five & Dime.
While there is no exact date for when Buena Vista Street will be opening, we will continue to keep you updated on Disneyland News Today.
Do you think the trolley is just for ambient motion/movement in the park, and not that they will actually let people ride in the trolley? I am just wondering how the governor would react to that, and how often they would sanitize, and the spacing? I would love for it to run and people hop on, but I feel like Gavin Newsom would hate that and try to stop them or fine them.
