Christmas is fast approaching as we round out the second week of November. Walt Disney World resorts have begun to put up their Christmas decorations, starting with Disney’s Wilderness Lodge. As a reminder, last year’s popular Gingerbread Cabin (featuring Humphrey the Bear!) will not be returning this year due to social distancing requirements across Walt Disney World.

Every year, Disney’s Wilderness Lodge puts up this massive Christmas tree at the very center of the rustic lobby. The tree, much like the resort, is themed to the Pacific Northwest, and is covered in beautiful illuminated teepees.

Wreaths, garland, and other Christmas-time touches can be found throughout the building.

There’s garland hanging over the bridge at the bubbling source of water that leads out to the Old Faithful geyser.

By the entrance, near Whispering Canyon Cafe, there’s a smaller tree filled with moose, acorns, and pinecones.

With room refurbishments ongoing on Disney’s Wilderness Lodge’s main rooms, it’s likely decorations will be put up on this side of the lobby. You can see where the refurbishment is taking place within the balconies covered in black tarps.

  1. I am wondering if anyone knows if the holiday decorations are up at jambo house. We are staying there in december and really hopeful the tree is up!
