Permission to come aboard is once again being granted on the waterways connecting EPCOT, its resorts, and Disney’s Hollywood Studios. The Friendship Boats are once again ferrying guests across Crescent Lake. This is the first we have seen the Friendship Boats running outside of EPCOT since the theme parks reopened in mid-July.
Boat transportation has also resumed at Disney’s Polynesian Village Resort.
The International Gateway boat dock is located just outside the EPCOT International Gateway entrance. The dock is along the waterway between the United Kingdom and France Pavilion.
A sign at the International Gateway dock provides transportation details. The Friendship Boats service Disney’s Boardwalk Resort, Disney’s Yacht Club Resort, Disney’s Beach Club Resort, the Walt Disney World Swan & Dolphin Resorts, and Disney’s Hollywood Studios. Yacht Club and Beach Club share one dock, as do the Swan and Dolphin.
Boats depart every 20 minutes, with service continuing one hour after park close.
Social distancing markers have been placed throughout the dock’s queue line. Plexiglass dividers have also been installed.
Like all other Walt Disney World transportation options, boat capacity has been reduced to allow guests to socially distance.
The gate is closed when the Friendship is about to cast off.
