Bonjour, and behold! Imagineer Zach Riddley has shared a first look at the Remy’s Ratatouille Adventure sign coming to the France Pavilion expansion at EPCOT!

In the image, we see gold foil being applied to the gilded elements of the marquee, which will also be outfitted with 200 individual light bulbs. So far, many of the design elements for Remy’s Ratatouille Adventure have matched that of its Disneyland Paris counterpart, Ratatouille: L’Aventure Totalement Toquée de Rémy, however this sign is slightly different, with the gold leaf added an unexpected opulence and Chef Remy in full view.

This original sculpture is the result of a creative collaboration between Pixar and Imagineering artisans, and features Chef Remy surrounded by one of his favorite things – food! This photo captures the critical moment in the marquee’s creation as gold leaf is applied by hand, bringing shimmer and detail to one of our last finishing touches to the exterior of the attraction. I can’t wait to see this marquee completed and installed over the attraction’s main entrance where it will come alive with nearly 200 individual light bulbs!!

Do note that Zach points out that the last finishing touches are being made to the exterior of the attraction… lending credence to rumors that the interior of the attraction is still unfinished and may not open in 2020.

So far, we’ve seen Gusteau’s signage and signs for La Creperie de Paris go up, so we can’t wait to see this hoisted into place at the entrance to Remy’s Ratatouille Adventure.
