PHOTOS: Primer Added to Last Section of Magic Kingdom Toll Plaza for 50th Anniversary Refurbishment

The Magic Kingdom toll plaza is nearing the end of its 50th-anniversary refurbishment project, as painting begins on the final group of lanes.

The last section on the right has been painted with white and gray primer ahead of its royal blue treatment.

Except for some final touches on the domes above some letters, the first two-thirds of the plaza is complete.

The “O” of “Welcome” still needs a touch of rose gold.

The Cinderella Castle icon on the marquee recently received a new rainbow paint job. The rest of the marquee has been painted a fresh gold, as have the flags above it.

If work continues on schedule, the plaza will be complete before Thanksgiving at the end of this month. We can’t wait to see the finished product. Are you excited for the 50th anniversary of Magic Kingdom? Let us know in the comments.
