Florida may not yet have reached winter weather, but that won’t stop Universal Orlando Resort from serving hot Butterbeer in the Wizarding World of Harry Potter again. We visited The Leaky Cauldron in Diagon Alley to get a sip of this warm brew.
The line was long, but we knew it would be worth it.
After a forty-five minute wait, we placed our mobile order and the drink arrived quickly.
The foam layer on top looked a little different than we remembered, but it is still the perfect touch, just like it is with your standard cold Butterbeer.
Overall, hot Butterbeer is delicious. It’s not too hot. It’s the perfect drinkable temperature upon arrival.
The caramel and Butterbeer flavors are strong, with a silky smooth consistency that goes down easily, even on a hot day like today.
The flavor is reminiscent of a white chocolate hot chocolate with notes of butterscotch and caramel teasing the tastebuds.
It’s thinner than hot chocolate, like if you make a packet with water instead of milk.
It’s available at the Hopping Pot and The Leaky Cauldron in Diagon Alley and The Three Broomsticks in Hogsmeade. Though we waited forty-five minutes, it was completely worth the wait, and we can’t wait to get a hot Butterbeer on a cooler day.
