“I saw three ships come sailing in…” to Disney’s Animal Kingdom for the holidays! The season has brought a trio of Festive Flotillas to the park, each featuring beloved characters all decked out in special apparel as they cruise around Discovery River. You can see all three in our video tour!
Reindeer Chip & Dale and Goofy
In one flotilla, Goofy wears a very colorful suit and straw hat while Chip and Dale have added reindeer antlers to their Donald’s Dino Bash outfits while they dance to Christmas music. The boat has also gotten a holiday makeover, with garland and ornaments wrapped around it. You can jam to the holiday tunes too with our video!
Donald, Daisy and Scrooge McDuck
It’s no humbug: Scrooge McDuck has joined Donald and Daisy Duck on a Festive Flotilla. All three are wearing special accents to welcome in the season. (I particularly like the green ribbon on Scrooge’s hat.) Like the previous boat, this has also received decorations and a strand of flags. Check out the yuletide party in our video below!
Santa Claus
And finally, Santa Claus himself gets a special flotilla of his own. Decorated to resemble a sleigh, this boat features art similar to the “Merry Menagerie” that the park welcomed last year. Pinwheels and an icy-colored fabric cover the back, while Santa waves to guests in the front. You can see the full experience in our video!
