BREAKING: Universal Studios Florida and Universal’s Islands of Adventure Reach Capacity Before Noon, Will Not Reopen Later Today

In what is becoming a common weekend occurrence, both Universal Studios Florida and Universal’s Islands of Adventure have reached capacity once again today. The Universal Orlando Resort parks closed today at 11:24 AM. Universal does not anticipate that it will reopen today. The parks last reached capacity on December 5.

Universal Orlando Resort hinted at possible capacity issues in a tweet earlier this morning.

  1. The last two weekends, there were after hours events that let people who purchased tickets get in the parks as early as 1pm and they were included in the capacity numbers before either park opened, so they weren’t turned away at the garages. Could of had a lot to do with them hitting capacity right before noon.
