Merry Christmas Eve from the Universal Orlando Resort! We arrived to the parks today unsure of what kind of crowds to expect. As we made our way into Universal Studios Florida, we were surprised by how relaxed the atmosphere was.
Perfect weather and perfect crowds.
We were shocked by how empty Diagon Alley felt this afternoon. We’re not complaining, though!
The parks were quiet throughout the day. It was really nice to see such low crowds.
There seemed to be an issue with the sign above the entrance to Universal’s Holiday Experience featuring Macy’s. Barricades were set up in the area and guests were directed around the barricades to enter the experience.
The cart in San Francisco across from Fast & Furious: Supercharged is getting ready to reopen with prepackaged ice cream bars. The menu lists Dove Milk Chocolate, M&M’s, Snickers, and Twix ice cream bars.
We stopped into Voodoo Doughnut in CityWalk and spotted two new limited time offerings. There is a chocolate peppermint doughnut and a caramel gingerbread man, in addition to the snowman and ornament doughnuts. Grab them while you can!
At Islands of Adventure, we were surprised that the crowds were low even in the Wizarding World. We encountered crowds around the queue for Hagrid’s Magical Creatures Motorbike Adventure and the Hogwarts Express, but the land felt calm. We picked a great day to visit.
The bypass bridge that connects Jurassic Park and the Lost Continent has been getting updated.
Even with the Who-lidays, Seuss Landing felt quiet.
Green Eggs and Ham has added dividers between their ordering and pick up windows. This is a much needed addition to the area to help serve even more guests at once. We love seeing these little changes that make a big difference in the guest experience.
That’s all for today. We’re going to take advantage of these low crowds and hop on a few rides. Thanks for joining us around the parks and be sure to stay tuned for all the latest updates!
