If you want to see the latest addition to EPCOT, you’ll have to keep your eyes to the ground. New manhole covers have arrived at the park, featuring the re-imagined park logo and five-ringed icon on a background resembling the tiles on Spaceship Earth!
These new covers are identical to the art we shared back in June 2019, which you can see below:
The covers arrive months after one from a galaxy far, far away at Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge mysteriously (or accidentally) showed up by the front entrance in August. Thankfully, the park now has manhole covers worthy of EPCOT itself.
Of course, this is just one small part of the ongoing re-imagining in the park. The entrance fountain has seen the return of Lucite pylons hearkening back to its early years. In addition, the East Security Structure has been refurbished, and the ticket booths have been repainted with a new color scheme. And of course, there’s the continuing construction of new additions like Guardians of the Galaxy: Cosmic Rewind, “Harmonious”, and the Play! Pavilion.
What do you think of the new covers? Share your thoughts in the comments, and keep reading WDWNT for more coverage as EPCOT moves into its new future!
This is my favorite change to Epcot of the Iger era.
