PHOTOS: Construction Resumes on Play! Pavilion in EPCOT

Though construction work on EPCOT’s Play! Pavilion has been at a standstill since October, and its omission from press releases has cast doubt on the future of the attraction, work has resumed on the building’s roof.

When we first walked by yesterday morning, no workers were visible. Some roof panels still remain to be replaced.

During the course of the day, the old panels closest to the skylights were replaced.

This pavilion used to be Wonders of Life and housed Body Wars and Cranium Command before acting as a festival center until 2018.

Later, in the afternoon, we saw two workers in a high reach at the windowed area of the pavilion.

When we stopped by today, even more had changed.

Right now, a single panel has yet to be replaced (at least from the side of the pavilion visible to guests).

The bright yellow panels near the pavilion entrance have been replaced since yesterday.

Though we have no idea how interior construction has progressed, this is a good sign that the Play! Pavilion is still in the cards for EPCOT. Check out our post from last year breaking down everything that is supposed to be inside the Play! Pavilion.
