A new Britto figure of the Orange Bird is now available, rendered in Britto’s colorful, patchwork style. For example, the bird’s head has his standard, plain orange-and-yellow scheme over his left eye and most of his mouth, but over his right eye, his head has been marked with black squiggles, with an yellow polka dots to round things out. Each appendage is a different color, from yellow and robin’s egg blue and a sparkly magenta on his legs, while his arms are green and black-and-white striped.

The Orange Bird was created by Disney for the Florida Citrus Commission in exchange for their sponsorship of Sunshine Tree Terrace and Tropical Serenade (better known as Walt Disney’s Enchanted Tiki Room) when the Magic Kingdom opened. It’s nice to see a piece of Disney history live on after all these years!

The figurine retails for $60.00. We found it at BouTiki in Disney’s Polynesian Village Resort.
