PHOTOS: New Track Being Laid for the Walt Disney World Railroad Near Fantasyland Station at the Magic Kingdom

Though it’s been over two years since the Walt Disney World Railroad took guests around the Magic Kingdom, our eagle-eyed reporter spotted an indication that things are on the right track.

Train tracks are being laid near the Fantasyland Station. Though the station is currently blocked from guest access, it’s visible from outside, though somewhat obscured.

The railroad temporarily closed in 2018 to accommodate construction of TRON Lightcycle / Run. The upcoming attraction has forced the track to be slightly rerouted from its previous layout.

Recently, construction walls were installed at the Main Street, U.S.A. station, possibly for a refurbishment. All these signs indicate that it’s “all aboard” for work on this Magic Kingdom staple ahead of its fiftieth anniversary.
