PHOTOS: Tom Sawyer Island’s Harper’s Mill Under Construction Amidst Rivers of America Refurbishment at Magic Kingdom

While new track is installed in the currently drained Rivers of America, it seems refurbishment has begun on Tom Sawyer Island.

Harper’s Mill, which sits on the edge of Rivers of America, is now surrounded by scaffolding.

We saw five workers at the mill today. In the drained river were stacks of metal rods.

For now, it just looked like they were installing and securing the scaffolding.

Rivers of America has been completely drained for about a month.

Further down the river, we saw a gap in the riverboat track, and materials to side.

  1. Disney really missed a huge opportunity to turn Tom Sawyer Island into a spot for a brand new Tiana attraction and restaurant.
