Marvel Studios is exploring new territory with “The Guardians of the Galaxy Holiday Special”.
In an unexpected twist during tonight’s Marvel Studios portion of the Disney Investor Day event, Kevin Feige announced Marvel Studios’ first foray into holiday specials… “The Guardians of the Galaxy Holiday Special”. Though only a logo was shown, Feige confirmed that James Gunn will write and direct the special. Feige also confirmed that the special will be shot during the filming of “Guardians of the Galaxy Volume 3”. Feige stated that “The Guardians of the Galaxy Holiday Special” will drop “The holiday prior to the next Guardians of the Galaxy film, which hits theaters in 2023”.
