Cirque du Soleil’s “Drawn to Life” Show Slated to Debut at Disney Springs This Year

Cirque du Soleil’s new “Drawn to Life” show was slated to open at Disney Springs in early 2020, but unfortunately was delayed repeatedly due to the COVID-19 closure. In March, Cirque du Soleil laid off 95% of their employees, and a couple of months later, they filed for bankruptcy. “Drawn to Life” was eventually scheduled for a November opening, but this was canceled with no further updates.

Finally, Disney has acknowledged the upcoming show. While they haven’t announced a new opening date, the show is listed in Disney Parks Blog’s “21 Ways to Kick Off 2021 with Magic at Walt Disney World Resort”.

Disney Parks Blog describes “Drawn to Life” as “a collaboration between Cirque du Soleil, Walt Disney Animation Studios and Walt Disney Imagineering.” Given it is listed along with Remy’s Ratatouille Adventure, which seems poised to open any day now, hopefully “Drawn to Life” is coming sooner rather than later.

  1. Interesting, I bought tickets for the Feb 24th 2021 show about two weeks ago but today am unable to see where to buys tickets on their website…….. I have the receipt and digital tickets will have to see what happens.

  2. Shannon, this article is dated January 1, 2021 and says no plans yet, but Disney has been selling tickets for months, shows start in February 2021. What you should focus on though is while Disney has been enforcing social distancing due to Covid, they are selling tickets to this show with ZERO social distancing. You can book a seat right next to another party/person, including right in front or behind.

Why is Disney not doing social distancing for this show? Seems to go against their entire Covid response up to this point…

      • Yep, my friend had tickets for February 27th, but got an email earlier this week that the performance has been cancelled, but what’s really bad she has to wait over 70 days before Cirque du Soleil will refund her money!

        • Tickets WERE on sale ages ago, they have not been recently. You could have had tickets for quite a bit out. This has been the refund process since the first cancelled shows.
