Welcome to another exciting day here at the Universal Orlando Resort. We’ve got so many things to look forward to this year and it looks like we’re getting one step closer to the opening of the new Jurassic World VelociCoaster.

We made our way to Islands of Adventure and spotted the Jurassic World VelociCoaster sign had been installed above the entrance. The raptors are still wrapped up, but the marquee is bold and attention grabbing. It won’t be much longer now!

We’ve been thinking about the Fork, Knife, and Spoon Grilled Cheese from Mythos Restaurant since the last time we had it, so we had to go back again today. Stay tuned for our full review!

We stopped into the Toothsome Chocolate Emporium and found a nice variety of Valentine’s Day snacks are now available. There are truffles, macarons, and even hot cocoa bombs shaped like hearts!

Universal Studios Florida is getting ready for Mardi Gras and more decorations have been added. Glittering masks and signage have been added to the booths in Production Central. There’s already a sign on the Bloody Mary booth.

Over by Cafe la Bamba, something is taking shape near the bar window. We’ll be interested to see what happens here.

More facades have gone up on the booths in the area and even another structure down near the water.

Yesterday, Bruce was barricaded and we were told it was for guest safety and he was in need of repairs. Today, he was completely removed from the area. The “Jaws” sign remains, but the shark gone. Let’s hope he comes back soon.

You can purchase the bottles of elixirs from Eternelle’s Elixir of Refreshment at the Hopping Pot and the Fountain of Fair Fortune, so we decided to get a Fire Protection Potion and a Gilly Water. This one will enhance your water with a watermelon, strawberry, and peach flavor.
