We’re back for another busy day at the Universal Orlando Resort. The weather is cool and the crowds are low and we’re ready to check out the latest updates around the parks.

Over at Universal Studios Florida, we spotted a crew working in the lagoon on the fountain platform. This is an interesting view with the water level lowered and the platform fully visible.

The news of the U.S. Capitol under siege was being shown at the TODAY Cafe.

There is a new UOAP Freestyle cup coming soon to the parks, but it has been delayed. We’ll be checking back frequently.

Park maps remind guests that the Hogwarts Express will be closed on January 21 for seasonal maintenance. You can see the list of attractions and their refurbishment dates here.

The crowds were perfect today.

New Wizarding World of Harry Potter Keeper magnets are available on the U Design kiosks around the park. You can even customize them with your name.

Over at Islands of Adventure, we made our way over to Seuss Landing and noticed one of the plexiglass dividers at Green Eggs and Ham had fallen over. These dividers on wheels don’t seem to be very safe.

A little while later, we went back and spotted Team Members inspecting the dividers and then removing them all from the area. We applaud Universal for taking action so quickly.

We were shocked by the low crowds in Hogsmeade this afternoon. Hagrid’s Magical Creatures Motorbike Adventure was only at a 60 minute wait when we walked by and we really didn’t see any line at all.

We spotted someone working inside the compartment under the raptor watch tower.

With all the new plants in the area, we’re hopeful that these construction walls will come down soon, too.

Poor Doc Ock has seen better days.

There was a plane with the message “Impeach Trump Now. Protect Democracy!” flying over the park.
