The interior of the permanent home for MouseGear is beginning to take shape. With windows installed, construction teams are starting to frame the shopping location’s interior space. One interesting architectural feature caught our eye: interior ceiling domes.
Windows have been added to most of the facade. Note the large opening (center) that allows larger equipment to enter the construction site.
Plywood protects construction materials, likely the missing glass panes. A blue tape “X” has been applied to each installed window pane. Those markings help workers to better see the windows.
Inside, we see some framing and safety railings.
The framing in this area includes metal studs, interior steel, and windows with a sheeted header above.
Domes are being installed throughout the interior ceiling.
The domes will continue to the foreground. Note the framing awaiting the pre-fabricated domes.
The domes tie into the roof structure with metal studs.
After installing a lower ring, the dome segments are installed on the ring.
The dome segments attach to the ring using sheet metal plates.
What do you think of the progress being made at Mouse Gear? What will Disney do with the domes? Give us your best guess in the comments.
