Welcome to another exciting day here at the Universal Orlando Resort. We started our day over at Islands of Adventure and noticed that techs were working on the Incredible Hulk Coaster.

The Incredible Hulk Coaster had some issues and did not open with the rest of the park. It was interesting to see the water drained in the area and the techs in the high reach up near the track.

Thankfully, the attraction would open later in the morning.

Our baby raptors are gone from Jurassic Park. The cut out that was along the construction wall has been removed, and we’re sad to see it go. We will gladly take this prop home with us if those little raptors need a new family.

Blue is still hanging around, though.

Lots of guests were lined up and waiting to meet the real Blue.

Even though Jurassic Park River Adventure recently went through refurbishment, it was delayed this morning. That didn’t stop guests from lining up in hopes of it reopening.

We’re getting even closer to the opening of Jurassic World VelociCoaster and it seems as if Jurassic Park is starting to get ready. Many of the rocks in the area have received a fresh coat of bright colored paint and things are looking great.

Jurassic Outfitters is also getting a new sign. The dinosaur skull and the word “Outfitters” is still missing, but we’ll be excited to see the refreshed signage.

The raptors are still wrapped, but we’re eager to see them lose their plastic.

It was busy for a weekday, but the crowds still weren’t too bad.

Over at Universal Studios Florida, there are tons of Mardi Gras floats around the park and plenty of Team Members throwing beads. We really think Universal Orlando is doing a fantastic job with this modified Mardi Gras.

We’ve eaten our way through all the food booths in the park and we can honestly say almost everything was fantastic. We’ve eaten our way around many theme park food and wine festivals in the past, and we’re thrilled to say that Universal has far exceeded our expectations. We decided to stop into the Bahamas for another Jerk Jack Fruit dish. You can see our full review of the Bahamas here.

The lines for the food booths aren’t that bad today. We really were craving another trip to the Germany tasting booth, but the line was a little bit long.

Belgium had no line so we stopped in to grab the Brussels Frites because we can’t stop thinking about the trio of delicious dips. Check out our review of Belgium here.

Even with all the Mardi Gras entertainment, there are still plenty of our favorite characters around the park. Dora, Diego, and Boots were having fun with hula hoops when we walked by.

That’s all for this visit to the Universal Orlando Resort. Thanks for joining us today and be sure to stay tuned to Universal Parks News Today and WDWNT for more updates from the parks!
