The Kiki Tikis Splash Play Area at Disney’s Polynesian Village Resort has closed for refurbishment and possibly Moana re-theming.
The play area is adjacent to the Lava Pool and will be closed through March 2021, according to the Walt Disney World website.
All water has been drained from the splash area and construction walls are up around it.
We saw several workers throughout the area. It appears they are, at the very least, replacing the rope netting on the railings, which are currently missing and replaced with temporary beams.
For now, there don’t seem to be any major changes to the splash area, but keep checking WDWNT for updates about this and other Disney’s Polynesian Village Resort refurbishments.
