Early this morning, the six-story-tall centerpiece for EPCOT’s brand new nighttime spectacular “Harmonious” arrived onto the World Showcase Lagoon.
This centerpiece ring will support a high-density water curtain, moving lights, and fountains.
Some sections of the centerpiece have been covered with panels on the front. This paneling is expected to continue on the front and back.
Equipment and construction barges remain nearby as the development of the display continues.
Numerous lighting fixtures can be seen on the perimeter of the ring.
All angles of this massive centerpiece can be seen as guests walk through the World Showcase.
From the Japan Pavilion, a view of the backside of the ring can be seen.
Now that the centerpiece ring is on the lagoon, the barges seem to be getting placed into position to form what Disney is calling th compass.
Once in position with the barge housing the ring in the center, elements of the show will include everything from media and fountains to lighting and pyrotechnics.
Symbolizing EPCOT’s story of global connection, the nighttime spectacular will showcase beloved scenes from Disney and Pixar films and will celebrate how the music of Disney inspires people around the world.
As a nighttime tribute to the power of story and song that unites the world, the barges will create become dazzling fountain by day. “Harmonious” is set to make its debut later this year.
at the end of show we will also slowly step through the Stargate directly to our hotel.
Extra ugly, and reduced capacity since you will only be able to fully view the show from the exact front and back of the lagoon. Disney used to be able to hide this (Fantastic Disneyland, World of Color, California Adventure. This is just obnoxious. But with everything else, I always can on a dark ride at the Magic Kingdom but will always be disappointed at Rise of the Resistance since it always break down. Look at this thing, it will break down a lot. This is going to be one expensive miss.
Huh?
