Cinderella Castle is undergoing a truly “earidescent” transformation in honor of the 50th anniversary of the Walt Disney World Resort this fall. The Cinderella Castle moat began draining last week to allow construction work to begin.

The East side is almost completely drained, with only a small amount of standing water left on this side of the dam.

The West side of the Cinderella Castle moat is now completely drained as well. It even looks like it received a much needed cleaning.

The normal water level can clearly be seen by the dark line along the rocks.

A temporary construction platform and staircase will allow construction workers to better access the moat.

The East side has not yet been cleared of debris.

The Cinderella Castle stage has also been getting a refresh. From the front, the stage continues to be blocked by a row of shrubbery. Grey scrims are still blocking the stage as well.

The stage floor has been removed, and what was recently covered in a grey tarp is now unveiled.

The entire floor of the stage has been removed and is getting an update. Metal bars are uncovered that run the length of the stage.

Grey scrims are still up around most of the railings.

The front of the stage looks the same, with most things still being covered during the refresh.
