PHOTOS: Aerial View Shows Continued Construction and Landscaping Added to Star Wars Galactic Starcruiser Hotel

Construction continues on the Star Wars: Galactic Starcruiser hotel. This hotel will be a truly one-of-a-kind and fully immersive experience that transports guests to a galaxy far, far away for a two night stay.

Thanks to Jonathan Salazar for these updated construction photos, we can see that landscaping is being added to the grounds of the new resort. Trees now line the entire entranceway, which help block the view from elements that could detract from the immersive experience.

Paving is also underway, as a sidewalk now extends from the porte cochère towards the front of the resort. The ground underneath the porte cochère appears to be filled in with concrete, as well as the entire shuttle stop area to the left in the photo below.

Construction continued recently on the shuttle stop outside of the hotel as well. Guests will board shuttles from this dock that can take them right to Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge at Disney’s Hollywood Studios.

As far as we know, the Star Wars: Galactic Cruiser hotel is still set to open sometime this year. Walt Disney World recently posted a job listing searching for a Hotel Director for the resort, and we hope that’s a sign that the hotel will open sooner rather than later.

Disney executives recently gave us an inside look into the two types of cabins available at the hotel, and we are excited to see the progress continue.
