As the “EARidescent” turrets and roofing of Cinderella Castle in Magic Kingdom are repainted back to blue, it seems some of the Fantasyland roofing is getting the same treatment.
This roof and turret of the newer Bibbidi Bobbidi Boutique was painted royal blue to match the refurbishment of Cinderella Castle over a year ago.
Whether due to fading or something else, the blue is now being repainted. We can see the darker, fresher paint on the turret and one of the roofs above a window.
Many buildings in Magic Kingdom are being refurbished ahead of “The World’s Most Magical Celebration” beginning October 1, 2021, so a repaint isn’t necessarily surprising but it is curious only a year after the last coat of paint.
Keep checking WDWNT for updates on this and other Magic Kingdom projects.
Awful. The blue is so dark it’s making everything look top-heavy. But it’s still better than that ridiculous Lisa Frank iridescent choice.
It’s great that MK is getting some fresh coats of paint. Needs some TLC!
Was wondering when they would get to this. Walking up the ramp to the back of the castle, the back of Sir Mickey’s looked washed out and neglected beside the castle.
