Disney MagicMobile Services Already Rolling Out to Not Only Apple Devices, MyDisneyExperience App Prompting Walt Disney World Guests to Turn on New Features

With MagicMobile services announced just a couple of days ago, guests visiting the Walt Disney World Resort now have an option in the MyDisneyExperience app to “Interact in Amazing Ways” to enhance their in-park visit with their mobile device via Bluetooth.

Once inside a Disney World theme park, guests are greeted with a message to “Enhance your in-park visit with messages and experiences powered by your phone’s wireless technology” on My Disney Experience. Here, guests will see an option to enable Bluetooth on their mobile device if it isn’t already enabled.

Once Bluetooth has been enabled, guests should receive messages and be offered “unique experiences” related to the park in which they’re in. No further details are given for this feature just yet.

Strangely enough, we received this prompt on a non-Apple device, despite Disney stating that MagicMobile will be rolled out to Apple users first. We suspect some services will, but guests with any sort of device will start to notice new features coming on board over the coming weeks.

  1. Disney needs to realize that not everyone jumps on the bandwagon to buy Apple products. I remember a time when it was embarrassing to own anything Apple!
