PHOTOS: Ramp Construction for Traffic Flow Improvement Continues Near Magic Kingdom

In order to improve traffic flow around Magic Kingdom and the surrounding resorts, new ramps are being built near the Transportation and Ticket Center. This is Phase II of roadwork on World Drive, Phase I having been completed in 2019.

Ramps will eventually connect the exit of Magic Kingdom to the Car Car Center.

Both the northbound and southbound World Drive will be realigned as well.

Construction has begun on the ramps that will connect Bear Island Road to World Drive.

Guests driving in the area will notice many supports for the upcoming ramps.

There don’t appear to be any major changes since our last check-in on the platforms being installed. Right now, there are two sections of the ramp yet to be connected.

Both sections have some vertical construction happening.

The taller supports in the foreground will be shortened as construction carries on, so the ramp will not actually reach the tallest support’s full height.

More materials for ramp construction are staged nearby.
