Tokyo Disney Resort Raises Capacity to 10,000 Guests, Maintaining Shortened Hours Through March 31st

The State of Emergency, ongoing in the Tokyo area since January 7th, is finally being lifted on March 21st! With that, Chiba Prefecture (home to the Tokyo Disney Resort) has released new guidelines indicating how theme parks in the prefecture (namely Tokyo Disney Resort) will be allowed to operate in the coming weeks.

From March 22nd through March 31st, some restrictions will be relaxed according to the Chiba Prefecture government. Tokyo Disneyland and Tokyo DisneySea will be able to up their capacity from 5000 to 10,000 Guests per day. Additionally, the request to shorten business operating hours will be moved from 8PM to 9PM. However, the Oriental Land Company announced that operating hours will remain at 10AM to 7PM through March 31st.

Because of the additional allowed capacity, ticket sales will resume in a staggered fashion as follows:

  • March 22-26—On sale March 20
  • March 27-April 2—On sale March 22
  • April 3-9—On sale March 23
  • April 10-16—On sale March 25
  • April 17-23—On sale March 26

All sales begin at 2:00PM JST on the dates listed.
