PHOTOS: Halloween Horror Nights Construction Begins at Universal Studios Hollywood

California horror fans will be happy to hear that construction for Halloween Horror Nights has begun at Universal Studios Hollywood. Universal has yet to confirm the event’s return (the website hasn’t even been updated to reflect the park’s reopening). However, with daytime operations back in full swing and Orlando’s event confirmed, it seems likely that we will return to the fog this fall.

The Parisian Courtyard on the Upper Lot is walled off, likely for the construction of a haunted house.

The Parisian courtyard is often used to host a house. In 2019, it held “Holidayz in Hell.”

WaterWorld is currently closed and construction walls have been set up at the attraction’s entrance.

In 2019, the “House of 1000 Corpses” maze was located here.

Finally, we snapped a shot of a sprung tent to the right of Revenge of the Mummy – The Ride. This tent played host to the “Killer Klowns from Outer Space” house in 2019, a fan favorite on both coasts.

Right now, Universal Studios Hollywood is now allowing out-of-state guests to visit with restrictions. This policy may change in time for Halloween Horror Nights, so be sure to check back before booking.
