Disneyland Resort is no stranger to slightly unusual foods and flavors. Earlier this year we gave the Brown Ale & Bacon Ice Cream from Salt and Straw a taste. Today we tried a rather unusual selection from The Blue Ribbon Corn Dog Cart, which is famous for fresh-dipped corn dogs.

First things first, this corndog is huge! This is basically a hot dog inside of a pickle coated in Panko crust batter. We suggest getting a fork and a knife to cut it.

The size of the pickle does get in the way a little bit. A smaller pickle would have made it an easier snack to eat while maintaining the flavor.

The sour taste of the pickle provides a contrast to the batter.

The peanut butter side was definitely a unique choice, but it does blend well with the batter. The pickle and hot dog however clashed a bit with the peanut butter.

We suggest this for the pickle lover in your life just because it is the dominant flavor. Sadly, the product does not match the hype in this case, and your $13 is likely spent better elsewhere.

That is just so incredibly bizarre that I think I’d have to try it!
Absolutely! I love peanut butter and sliced dill pickle sandwiches and peanut butter is my condiment of choice on a hot dog so yes, I will definitely be trying this….maybe even at home.
When I first heard about this, I was all in (while maybe thinking I should skip the peanut butter). But I do get your point that the peanut butter may clash with the pickle and dog while complimenting the panko crust. Did you try the corn dog without the peanut butter, and if so, did that work better? The peanut butter was the only part that gave me pause.
